The Himalayan region of the Indian subcontinent has 10 major rivers flowing through it , which support ancient civilisations and over worlds 2 billion people. Many of these are transboundary in nature. They flow through few South Asian countries, sometimes giving rise to conflict and logjams. The International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has been working on transboundary water issues for many years and as a part of their River Governance Project, commissioned this film -Rivers without Borders. This film has been filmed in Nepal, India and Bangladesh.
